In the fall of 2008, a group of people began to meet to plan and pray for the launching of a new church in Kaohsiung. The launch took place on February 15, 2009. Through the hospitality of Kaohsiung Baptist Church, New Life is able to meet in their worship center in a very convenient area of Kaohsiung.

• Church Planters: Mike and Carolyn Miller have enjoyed 8 ½ years of ministry in Kaohsiung as missionaries supported by the International Mission Board. They have four children and are learning to speak Taiwanese (very slowly).
• Worship Team: A variety of men and women share the blessing of leading people to worship and praise God each Sunday. The team is currently led by Colby Wilkins.
